The Ipswich Local News is hiring a Finance & Development Coordinator
We have a part-time (approximately 15 hours per week) opening for a detail-oriented person with back-office finance experience to coordinate bank deposits, accounts payable, receivables and our donor management system.
The ideal candidate is familiar with the area (Ipswich and Rowley especially); loves what we do as a community nonprofit news outlet; is competent with Quick Books software, has experience in back-office invoicing and billing, and has some familiarity with nonprofit donor management systems.
Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities include:
- Collecting mail from the post office box
- Making bank deposits
- Reconciling advertising schedules and prices with actual print and online ads
- Coordinating with our advertising salesperson to ensure accurate billing
- Billing and collecting from advertisers using Quick Books
- Ensuring Quick Books is properly synchronized with our donor management system
- Preparing acknowledgement correspondence for donors
Flexibility: While our office is in the heart of Ipswich on North Main Street, most work can be completed remotely.
