Join the Gloucester Lyceum for a timely forum exploring the strengths, vulnerabilities,
and future of democratic institutions.
Harvard professor Steven Levitsky will speak from his forthcoming book The Great
Abdication: How America Lost its Democracy, examining the nation’s recent shift
toward competitive authoritarianism and the role of political elites.
Journalist and commentator Callie Crossley will respond and lead an audience
discussion.
