Description
The Clements Brothers are George (guitar) and Charles (upright bass), identical twins from the heart of New England. The two have been playing and writing music together for as long as they can remember. They first entered the Americana music scene in 2012 as part of the internationally touring grass-roots band The Lonely Heartstring Band, with which they released two albums on Rounder Records. Seasoned performers and accomplished musicians, George played the role of Paul Simon in the hit national act ‘The Simon and Garfunkel Story’ while Charles can often be found in the bass section of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Rachel Sumner & Traveling Light are a Boston-based string band making music that blends folk tradition with feminist storytelling, poetic detail, and just enough grit. At the center is Sumner’s songwriting. Her song ‘Radium Girls (Curie Eleison)’has been streamed over 300,000 times and has been used by dancers and theater directors. The trio features Kat Wallace on fiddle and vocals and Mike Siegel on upright bass and vocals. Their playing brings both tension and tenderness to the sound. Sumner was the 2025 Telluride Bluegrass Band Contest winner and was a 2024 winner of the Kerrville New Folk competition.
