Rain date: Sunday, September 7, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Create sun prints on fabric using drawings and cut paper designs using the historic cyanotype process. The fabric can be used as pillow covers or added to clothing. We will also incorporate found objects and botanicals. Bring found objects from home for a personalized print!
Plus, join Scialo for a pop-up exhibition of her cyanotype work in the White-Ellery House from 2:00—3:00 p.m. Pop-up is free and open to the public.
About the artist: Patricia Scialo is a fine art photographer specializing in historic photographic processes and hand printing techniques, drawing inspiration from light, nature, and the human form. She is the 2020 winner of the Julia Margaret Cameron Gala Awards, Barcelona, professional section, in the categories of Abstract, Alternative Processes, and Children.
