Description
The Gloucester Lyceum and Sawyer Free Library Corporation will host its first Annual Meeting in the state-of-the-art Community Room of the newly expanded and modernized Sawyer Free Library.
The evening will open with a welcome from Mern Sibley, President of the Library’s Board of Trustees, followed by remarks from Mayor Greg Verga. Library Director Jenny Benedict will also reflect on this extraordinary year for Gloucester’s public library—celebrating its historic transformation and sharing a look ahead at the expanded services, resources, and programming that will define its next chapter.
During the meeting, new members of the Library Corporation and Board of Trustees will be elected, and the Mary M. Weissblum Volunteer Award will be presented to Fran Aliberte in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to the Library and community.
Following the formal program, guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and conversation while exploring the Library’s beautiful reimagined spaces.
The meeting is open to the public, though only corporators may vote. For more information, visit sawyerfreelibrary.org.
