WHAT & WHY: Our “Three on Grille” and “Three with Greens” fine wine tasting adds up to Six distinctive learning experiences, pairing both foods and the prep syncing up with springtime and the wines that elevate kitchen salad creations to fare that benefits from smoked- grille cooking, to other April tastes. Guest host & wine educator Bob McVicker is pouring both classic & trending wines of celebrated vintners and emerging innovators, from Masciarelli Wine Company’s International Portfolio …tasters will experience bottles & styles that will be new to your palette…the opportunity to add new to your wine choices. As always our tasting are complimentary & the tasting is elevated using our imported Riedel stemware.

Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc, Tasting: Etienne Daulny makes a stylish, racy Sancerre that’s simply electric; clean, juicy and racy. Melon, grapefruit and gooseberry with aromas of green pea and spearmint. The vibrant nature of this wine makes it one of the most versatile on the planet. Varietal: Bellone Tasting: The wine evokes sunshine and ripe tropical fruit such as mango and papaya, carefully balanced by a marked acidity which makes it suitable for long bottle aging. Rich, ample and lingering on the palate with light floral and spicy notes. Similar to Chardonnay. Hallmarked by its pronounced acidity and zesty tang. A long finish. Eifel Pfeiffer Riesling Feinherb, Graacher Himmelreich, 2018 Alc. 10.5%, Varietal: Riesling, Tasting: Fruit blossoms, white pepper stone fruit and a hint of honey on the nose….nearly dry, Vanice minerality to open, apple and nectarine mid palate with pineapple and lemon on the finish. Classic, desirable acidity but the slightest touch of sweetness on the end to balance it out. Pairs Well: roast pork loin, shellfish, spicy foods, cured meats, everything chicken… $19.99
Chateau Pipeau, St. Emilion, Grand Cru, Fr., 2018, Alc. 14% Varietals: predominantly Merlot Tasting: Dry, medium to full, complex wine. Blueberry, blackberry, black currant, plum and dark cherry. Hints of mushrooms, anise, leather and mocha. Very solid with high tannins and acidity, so well balanced wine, Pairs Well: Ribeye roast, grilled lamb chops, venison, pheasant. Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting: Punch Vineyards has all the hallmarks of a luxury Cabernet Sauvignon: concentration, bold, structured, complex flavors of black cherry, blackberry, mocha, spice and other notes.
