Description
Care Dimensions, a nonprofit and the largest hospice organization in Massachusetts, invites members of the community to celebrate the memory of a loved one and support its hospice mission by illuminating a symbolic light, inscribing their name in the Care Dimensions Tribute Book and donating to help bring hope to others for peace and comfort along their end-of-life journey.
The annual broadcast of the Tree of Lights ceremony is Wednesday, December 8th at 5:30 p.m. and you can sponsor a light through December 4th to appear in the Care Dimensions Tribute Book in time for the event. Names received after December 4th will be added the following week. Due to COVID precautions and to protect the health of the community, our program is available only online and there will be no in-person tree-lighting ceremonies.
We welcome you to join our virtual program and to sponsor a light on www.CareDimensions.org/TreeofLights. Your donation supports the Care Dimensions mission to provide advanced illness care services to patients and their families in more than 100 communities in Massachusetts. After December 8th, lights will shine across the community at the following locations:

- Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers
- People's United Bank, Danvers Square
- BankGloucester, Gloucester
- Swampscott Town Hall, Swampscott
“This tradition is long and so special to so many of us for many generations and we’re so proud to be able to do this,” said President & CEO Pat Ahern. “Every light represents someone you’ve loved and lost. Healing happens when caregivers have the support they deserve and need and when the bereaved among us are consoled..”
We also offer our Coping with the Holidays workshop immediately following the ceremony. Our Bereavement Department’s virtual workshop is for anyone who has experienced a death this year. If you plan to attend or have questions, please RSVP to Grief@CareDimensions.org or call 978-774-5100.
