Renew by the Sea to Present “From Survival to Revival” at Women’s Wellness Expo at Endicott College
Dr. Pamela Jarboe will explore why so many women feel exhausted and burnt out. Dr Pam will share practical ways to help the nervous system shift toward rest, recovery, and resilience.
MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA, Mass. — September 24, 2026 — For many women, feeling exhausted but unable to relax has become an all-too-familiar experience. Between careers, caregiving, family responsibilities, and the constant demands of modern life, the body can begin to act as though it is always “on.”Dr. Pamela Jarboe of Renew by the Sea Regenerative Care in Manchester-by-the-Sea will address that experience during a special presentation, “From Survival to Revival: Rewiring the Female Nervous System,” at the upcoming Women’s Wellness Expo at Endicott College on Sunday, October 4.
The 30-minute presentation will focus on helping women better understand the autonomic nervous system—the body’s built-in system for responding to stress, safety and recovery—and how chronic stress can make it difficult to truly rest, sleep deeply, focus and feel restored.
“So many can keep going, take care of everyone else, and accomplish what needs to be done”, said Dr. Jarboe, “but that doesn’t necessarily allow our nervous system to rest. My goal is to help women understand what their bodies are telling them and give them simple tools they can actually use.”
During the presentation, Jarboe will explain the difference between the sympathetic “fight-or-flight” response and the parasympathetic “rest-and-digest” response, while offering practical strategies women can use to support greater calm, recovery, and renewed energy.
Attendees will learn about recognizing their own stress signals, techniques for shifting the body toward a more relaxed state, and everyday practices that may support better sleep, focus, energy, and resilience.
The subject is particularly relevant for women who describe themselves as feeling “tired but wired”—physically exhausted while their minds and bodies seem unable to fully switch off.
Jarboe, a chiropractor and longtime health educator, recently opened Renew by the Sea Regenerative Care in Manchester-by-the-Sea. Her approach focuses on helping people improve nervous-system function and overall well-being through gentle chiropractic care and complementary technologies and services.
For Jarboe, bringing this conversation to the Women’s Wellness Expo is also part of a larger mission for Renew by the Sea: creating a local resource where people can better understand their bodies rather than simply pushing through the signals those bodies are sending.
“Stress isn’t just something that happens in our heads,” Jarboe said. “It has a physiology. And when we understand that physiology, we can begin working with our nervous system instead of fighting against it.”
