Hammond Castle Museum Presents Deck the Halls Holiday Celebration with Museum-Wide Holiday Installation and Holiday Programming for All Ages

Nov. 10, 2025 Gloucester, MA. Hammond Castle Museum proudly announces the return of its cherished holiday tradition, Deck the Halls, now in its seventh year. Beginning November 21, the Museum will be transformed into a festive seasonal experience, welcoming guests for tours through January 4. The Museum will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

This year brings an elevated design vision through a collaboration with interior designer Elaine Quinn of Elaine Quinn Interiors in Manchester-by-the-Sea. Rich textures, lavish greenery, and opulent accents fill the historic rooms, reflecting both the romance of the season and the architectural grandeur of the Museum. Guests will discover new elements, including a pair of menorahs honoring Hanukkah, a 3D printed gingerbread style replica of the castle, and a regiment of nutcrackers standing guard.

Hammond Castle Museum welcomes local residents for Gloucester Gratis Days, offering free admission on Tuesdays with proof of residency. Three special Deck the Halls by Candlelight evenings will take place on the first three Thursdays in December. These limited-capacity, fully guided tours offer an intimate hour in softly lit spaces where candlelight and twinkling lights create a warm and enchanting atmosphere. North Shore favorite and acclaimed singer-songwriter Chelsea Berry returns to the Great Hall for two special holiday performances, December 6 and 7 - An Evening with Chelsea Berry, accompanied by cellist Kristen Miller. Known for her soulful voice and heartfelt songwriting, Berry will perform selections from her holiday album Ring the Bells, along with songs that celebrate joy and togetherness. Saturday evening guests may select a VIP ticket option that includes preferred seating, a meet-and-greet with Berry, and a complimentary glass of champagne. Christmas at the Castle returns for its fifth season in the breathtaking splendor of the Great Hall. The radiant strings and majestic brass of the Firebird Pops Orchestra fill the space with timeless holiday charm and shimmering film score magic. Music Director Brendan J. Kenney leads the chamber orchestra with acclaimed soloists Mara Bonde and Sandra Piques Eddy, bringing beloved seasonal classics and cinematic favorites to life. These performances capture the warmth of the season while honoring the Museum’s medieval ambiance. Four performances will be offered from Friday, December 19, through Sunday, December 21.
