DCR’s Halibut Point State Park announces FREE April Programs
Programs are free and open to the public. An adult must accompany children. ADA/reasonable accommodations available upon request. Guided group tours available with advance reservations: 978.546.2997 or halibut.point@mass.gov

8:00am—3:00pm available at Visitor Center area
· Quarrying History Self-Guide for all ages at your leisure!
· Quarry Quest—Treasure Hunt! Follow clues then unscramble to find a treasure box! Family fun adventure—on trails you may never have walked before—while learning about nature and the Babson Farm Granite Quarrying history. For ages 8+.
· StoryWalk® The Nest Robin Built, by Denise Flemming. Self-guided book pages posted along a lovely Park trail near the visitor center. Connect with nature and each other while enjoying the magic of reading together in the outdoors! For ages 3-7 with favorite adult. StoryWalk® created by Anne Ferguson, Montpelier, VT, with Kellogg-Hubbard Library, is registered.
Sunday, April 20
Symphony of Bird Song! 8:00 am—10:00 am. Meet at parking area. For all ages.
Stroll our seaside treasure with birding basics. Hear the symphony of spring bird song! Watch for them in the field’s, woodland’s, and at the ocean’s edges. Learn about their sounds, habits, and flight patterns. Enjoy extraordinary views. Bring your binoculars. Heavy rain cancels.
Saturday, April 26
Celebrate Earth Day with Live Animals!!! Live Vernal Pond Animals, 11:00 am—12:30 am. Meet at visitor center. For all ages and abilities.
Live frogs, turtles, and salamanders! Our vernal pond ambassadors, will visit Halibut Point with Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team. Get up close to these animals and learn about them, their behaviors, and habitats. Co-sponsored with Friends of Halibut Point State Park.
