ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: This is a highly administrative position in which the incumbent assists the Executive Director in planning, management, administration, and day-today operation of the agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a highly responsible managerial position involved in all aspects of the housing authority's operations. The incumbent in this position consults with and advises the Executive Director on all aspects of housing management, operations, procurement, finance, human resources, maintenance, and resident/homeownership services. Work is performed with considerable independence of judgment and decision within the constraints of regulations and finances.
QUALIFICATIONS: Six years' experience in Public Housing management or a closely related field and supervisory experience required. A bachelor's degree is preferred and may substitute for up to two years of experience. Considerable knowledge of local, state, and federal housing regulations and experience working with people of various socio-economic backgrounds are also required. Must be able to obtain CORI approval, have a valid MA driver's license, and be bondable. MPHA and PHM or similar classification by a nationally recognized housing organization must be obtained within 1 year of hire. Bi-lingual a plus.
