Payments

A $500 non-refundable deposit per person is required at time of booking to secure your reservation. The balance is due 90 days before departures.

Optional Tours in Sao Miguel

Sunset Cruise…. $60.00 Per Person…

In the late afternoon, when the sun starts hiding behind the horizon, the sunset cruise offers a relaxing boat trip that allows you to appreciate the beauty of the sea and coastline. On a trip of about two hours we follow the south coast with great views over the rock and lava formations. We pass by the beautiful cliff of Rocha da Relva, a peculiar location with summer houses accessible only on foot. On this tour you can watch the sunset behind the ocean horizon while drinking local Pico wine and tasting Azorean cheese.

 Hiking in Praia da Viola – full day……$75.00 Per Person with Lunch

The trail starts in front of Lomba da Fazenda church and ends at Maia’s fishing port. We go down towards the Viola beach, finding some old water mills. Reaching the beautiful beach and after walking the black sand we go up and start having a wider view over the place. We continue along a narrow path with many giant reeds (arundo donax), finding several small water courses and typical Azorean sceneries (green fields, pastures, sea and also some animals). After walking this dirt road for a while, we will find the road and shortly after, Maia’s fishing port, where the trail ends. If you want to refresh yourself with a quick swim, we can walk a bit more to the village’s natural pools. After a picnic lunch, we have the opportunity go to the Tobacco Museum of Maia, an ancient tobacco factory.

Mountain Bike and kayak tour in Sete Cidades – Adventure – full day…….$85.00 Per Person with Lunch

Let’s explore the west side of São Miguel. Sete Cidades lake is one of the most famous and legendary lakes of the island. We will have time to go down to the bottom of the crater where we can ride a bike and paddle a kayak in the amazing lake of Sete Cidades. This is definitely the best way to enjoy the Sete Cidades environment, feeling the amazing energy and beauty of the place. A picnic lunch is enjoyed on the lake shore. In the afternoon we drive along the south coast and pass by Ferraria where we find a wonderful hot water bathing area that was created by the formation of a small crater and volcanic fissure from which the surrounding ocean water is heated. What a perfect way to end our adventurous day!

 Canyoning – half day …..$75.00 Per Person

The interior of São Miguel hides waterfalls and streams that one can explore actively with Canyoning. Walking inside the water, jump into cristal clear water pools, liding between rocks shaped by the flow of the stream and challenge the waterfalls flowing from the top, these are the ingredients for moments of adrenaline and fun, in a genuine water park created by nature.

Geo Tour- half day….$75.00 Per Person

The Azores Archipelago is of volcanic origin and is considered by many to be composed of exceptional landscapes due to its unique characteristics. The effects of recent eruptions are visible and locations of these events can be visited. The volcanic origins of the islands have created mountains and valleys covered in rich and varied vegetation, lakes in ancient volcano craters, hot water springs, fumaroles, thermal hot water fountains and cascades.
