The evening begins at 5:45 PM, at the museum with a room dedication in honor of past Museum Director, President, Honorary Curator and Advisor to the Curatorial Board, Mr. John Huss. Our newest room, at the top of the staircase, is full of the history he was passionate about sharing in the 40 plus years he served the Museum.
At 6 PM, following the dedication, a reception will be held at the First Parish Community Hall (right across the street) followed by a brief annual meeting.
At 6:45 PM, cultural heritage expert and Gloucester’s 1623 Studios producer, Kory Curcuru, will present “Stuffy McInnis”. Kory will share the remarkable, inspiring story of local hero John "Stuffy" McInnis - tracing his journey from Manchester-by-the-Sea to the Boston Red Sox and their triumphant 1918 World Series victory. Stuffy was a renowned baseball player who won four World Series titles and was a teammate of Babe Ruth. A respected community member, he is buried in Rosedale Cemetery, MBTS.
We invite you to attend this special free event, RSVP at mbtsmuseum.org or 978-526-7230.
