The owners and staff of Gove & Feldman Insurance Agency, Inc., invite you to come visit their office in downtown Rockport., for our end of summer, September Business After Hours networking event.
Gove & Feldman Insurance Agency, Inc. began its prestigious history in the mid 1940s by sole proprietor Herbert L. Gove. By 1957 the success of the business and the growing needs of the greater Boston area resulted in a 23-year professional partnership with Richard Porter. Several years later, further company growth brought the addition of Peter Gove to the firm. For nearly 50 years the agency was located on Boston’s Broad Street – the longtime heart of the insurance district.

Bruce Feldman, Peter Gove’s son in law, joined the agency in 1991 and the company offices moved from Boston to Wakefield, Massachusetts. Continued growth thereafter led to the acquisition of the Frank W. Johnson Agency in coastal Rockport, Massachusetts. A merging of both offices in 2004 brought the agency to Rockport. In January of 2007 Bruce Feldman purchased Gray, Gove & Gove, Inc. from Peter Gove and the two continued to work together until Peter’s retirement in January of 2012.

In December of 2014, after 23 years the agency moved from its location at 13 Railroad Ave. in Rockport to its new home at 124 Main St. Rockport, Ma. Bruce utilized his prior construction background to design and develop a four unit office building. The agency has also announced effective January 1, 2015 its name change from Gray, Gove & Gove, Inc. to Gove & Feldman Insurance Agency, Inc.

While time has evolved the company’s history and our mission as an agency has remained a constant; We seek to understand the needs of our clients and fulfill those needs by providing accurate information and quality products.
