Local artist Liam Anastasia-Murphy will perform a 45-minute set followed by a brief discussion about his musical career and his approach to songwriting.  

After cutting his teeth on the indie folk scene of Richmond, Virginia, Anastasia-Murphy returned home to Cape Ann in 2019. It was here that he started a musical project known as Surnames. Liam released two EPs in 2020, falling squarely into jean jacket, Fender-guitar, and indie rock genres. Three new singles were released in 2022 that started to showcase a burgeoning fascination with electronic production and sampling while still remaining in the indie sphere. Anastasia-Murphy has been streamed over a quarter of a million times across various platforms, added to and featured on thousands of playlists, including Spotify's Fresh Finds Indie, and even used in a Netflix show.
