3 Station Square Rockport, MA 01966 CONTACT: rebeccahpearson@gmail.com 4 March, 2018 Ace Smith Hardware and Lumber Hosts Nationwide Neighborhood Paint Party and Color of the Year Contest Rockport MA –Ace Smith Hardware and Lumber will celebrate Ace Hardware’s Biggest Paint Sale of the Year by hosting the Neighborhood Paint Party on March 24th from 11-2PM.This event will be held at participating Ace Stores Nation Wide including right here in Rockport where you will have a chance to win some prizes by participating in Ace’s first-ever Color of the Year contest. Customers will have an opportunity to create a new color by mixing, creating and naming their own unique paint color for a chance to be entered into Ace’s Color of the Year Contest for a nation-wide vote. The top twenty five colors of the year finalists will be posted on Ace’s social channels for a nationwide consumer vote. The color and name combination with the most votes will be deemed Ace’s 2019 Color of the Year, and the creator will receive a $1000 Ace Gift Card. The top six finalists will also receive a $250 Ace Gift Card. In the meantime while votes are being tallied in store a winner will be chosen that day who will receive $100 worth of paint products including a gift card. During the festivities folks will be able to enjoy paint demonstrations, and enjoy the one-day specials on paint including Buy One, Get One Free on exclusive Ace and Valspar paints. Come in early as the first 100 people will receive free gifts. This event aims to captivate consumers by engaging all five senses using in-store visuals, color-inspired music, food and beverages to inspire and encourage consumer to interact. During the event , local businesses are helping in supporting the celebration including Dunkin Donuts of Rockport MA and Cake Ann of Gloucester MA with yummy goodies. Coffee and hot chocolate will be on hand as well. Face Painting by Soulstice on Bearskin Neck in Rockport MA will engage the children and Victoria from Ambiance of Rockport MA will be ready to paint nails the signature Ace Red for all the ladies from 11 - 12pm. Gloucester Hometown Ace will be participating in the event as well with different specials during the same hours. This event is one day only so don't miss it on Saturday, March 24.
