This event will be held at participating Ace Stores Nation-wide including Rockport's Smith Ace Hardware and Lumber where the general public will have a chance to win some prizes by participating in Ace’s first-ever Color of the Year contest. Customers will have an opportunity to create a new color by mixing, creating and naming their own unique paint color for a chance to be entered into Ace’s Color of the Year Contest for a nation-wide vote. The top twenty-five colors will be posted on Ace’s social channels for a nation-wide consumer vote. The color and name combination entry with the most votes will be deemed Ace’s 2019 Color of the Year, and the creator will receive a $1,000 Ace Gift Card. The top six finalists will also receive a $250 Ace Gift Card. While votes are being tallied, each participating store will choose a winner that day who will receive $100 worth of paint products including a gift card. Also in-store, the first 100 people in our door during the time of the event from 11am – 2pm will receive free gifts. Come in for a chance to win and enjoy paint demonstrations and one-day specials on paint including Buy One, Get One Free on exclusive Ace and Valspar paints. This event aims to captivate the public by engaging all five senses using in-store visuals, color-inspired music, food and beverages that inspire and encourage people to interact. Smith Ace Hardware and Lumber's event includes support from other local businesses: Dunkin Donuts of Rockport MA and Cake Ann of Gloucester MA each supplying yummy goodies. Face Painting by Soulstice on Bearskin Neck, Rockport, MA will be available for children during entire event and Victoria of Ambiance, Rockport MA will be on hand to paint nails the signature Ace Red from 11 - 12 PM.
