Description
Harold A. Burnham (N.E.A. National Heritage Fellow) who is serving a owners representative on the project will give a power point presentation/ update, on work being conducted to the 1894, Essex Built schooner, Ernestina-Morrissey at Boothbay Harbor Shipyard under the supervision of Master Shipwright David Short. The Ernestina-Morrissey is the official vessel of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a National Historic Landmark. Efforts are being administered by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The $6.3 million project is being funded over three years through $2.5 million of state funding and $2.8 million in private donations.
