Travelling by Car
Rockport is 45 miles from downtown Boston.
Drive north on Route 128 (through two rotaries) to the traffic light in Gloucester.
At the traffic light, turn left onto Route 127.
Drive 4 miles to Rockport.
Continue through “Five Corners” onto Route 127A (Broadway) toward the harbor. It’s a slight vere to the right. At the stop sign at Mt. Pleasant Street (lighthouse in median), turn left and then bear left onto Main Street. The Shalin Liu Performance Center is on the right at 37 Main Street.
Travelling by Train
Rockport is accessible by commuter rail from Boston and other Northshore towns. The commuter rail originates from North Station on the Green line in Boston. The train station is ½ mile walk to the concert hall.

Description
Christopher Staknys and Matthew Woodard are young musicians/composers who will perform works by Beethoven, Copland, Khachaturian, Howard Frazin, as well as compositions of their own. Both are composition students of Howard Frazin of the New England Conservatory. Staknys is a winner of many competitions, and in 2012, his composition ''Congo'' was premiered by the Portland Symphony Orchestra. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree at Bard College, Matthew Woodard is a violin student of Laurie Smulker and an avid chamber musician and composer, Matthew is an alumnus of From the Top, and has participated in many summer festivals, and his viola concerto was premiered with the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra in 2012, with Matthew as soloist. His most recent commission, a woodwind trio, was premiered in April of 2013 at the Rivers School in Weston, as part of their conservatory's 35th Annual Seminar on Contemporary music for the Young.
