Description
Bring your little Knights and Ladies to the Hammond Castle Museum for an educational and hands-on introduction to the history of heraldry on Knights and Ladies Day! This hour long program on April 20, is geared towards 5-8 year olds, and will be held in the Great Hall of the Museum, where their imagination can run wild, just as John Hays Hammond Jr., the inventor who built the Castle intended.
After a short introduction to heraldry from the Museum curator, your little aristocrats will get the chance to design their very own coat of arms using symbols and colors that represent each of them individually. Following will be a story time with a book inspired by medieval life.
Cost of admission to this event is $20 per adult and $10 per child. We do ask, given Covid capacity restrictions, that only one adult accompany each group of children. Tickets must be purchased in advance for the 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. session.
