Rockport Music's Summer Gala brings nine-time Grammy Award winner and Pulitzer Prize recipient Wynton Marsalis with his world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JOLC). A true statesman of jazz, Musical Director Wynton Marsalis will lead his JOLC in an unforgettable evening of jazz with arrangements from Duke Ellington and Count Basie to Thelonious Monk and Dizzy Gillespie. The Gala evening will begin with a concert in the stunning Shalin Liu Performance Center (Cocktail reception at the hall at 5:15) and guests will then enjoy a gourmet dinner with Wynton Marsalis and the JOLC Orchestra under a beautiful tent at Millbrook Meadow. Proceeds from this event will support Rockport Music's ongoing mission to enrich lives through exceptional musical performances, and to provide learning opportunities through education and outreach.
