Join us at the North Shore Arts Association THIS SATURDAY, August 30, for a one-day, hands-on Introduction to Scratchboard workshop led by the talented Joe Smith! Joe has loved drawing since his youth but fell in love with the medium of scratchboard the first time he tried it. Learn how to bring out stunning detail with just a blade—no experience needed. Joe Smith is a Massachusetts native currently living in northern Worcester County. He is a self-taught artist who, after discovering scratchboard fifteen years ago, immediately fell in love with it. It has been his primary drawing medium ever since. He is a member of the North Shore Art Association, the Rockport Art Association, the Copley Society of Art, and the International Society of Scratchboard Artists.
