Description
Join us on December 8th & 9th from 4PM-8PM at the Kyrouz Auditorium in City Hall in Gloucester to experience Harbor Voices' light & sound installation. The installation takes ten minutes to experience so we encourage you to pair your brief visit with Saturday's Middle Street walk cultural activities at institutions like the Cape Ann Museum or visit the Lobster Trap Tree Lighting just down the street.
You will experience an ocean of sound, stories, and light, drawn by the voices of your neighbors and friends. Children will be offered a small flashlight to engage with the artwork, allowing them a tangible moment to consider their part in this interconnected network of community and local history. Every story collected has become a beam of light in this laser installation. It is family-friendly, free, and open to all. And it's just the start...Harbor Voices wants to collect more stories across the life span from more students and seniors this winter and spring. We have already hosted arts & storytelling workshops at the public schools and engaged with seniors at Rose Baker Senior Center. Please visit harborvoices.com or email action@harborvoices.com to join us!
