Description
Our tour begins with highlights of Gloucester, including the Fisherman Memorial, Harbor Loop, Maritime Gloucester, Fitz Hugh Lane Home, Rocky Neck, Niles Beach, Back Shore, driving by beaches, locations found in the Perfect Storm and Manchester-By-The-Sea, houses painted by Edward Hopper, and hearing interesting history about life in the 1700's, 1800's and early 1900's.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays we will stop at Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House designed in 1908 and enjoyed by one of America’s first interior designers.
On Saturday, we will visit The Sargent House Museum, a 1792 home of a pioneering advocate of women’s
education and equality and we will walk down middle street and see the first UUU Church.
This tour includes the $15.00 house admission fee.
