Kick off your Independence Day celebrations with us on our ocean-facing lawn as we present the Firebird Pops Orchestra's Sea to Shining Sea, a seaside tribute to the country we call home! Conductor Brendan J. Kenney will lead the Pops in familiar, traditional American tunes, as well as compositions inspired by the beauty of the United States. Program highlights include chamber arrangements of popular favorites such as The Star-Spangled Banner, Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever, and excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, as well as pieces that pay tribute to United States history and composers such as Balmages’s Point Lookout (A fantasy on civil war songs).
This performance will take place under a tent on the ocean-facing lawn and will include an intermission. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The first two rows of seating are offered as Premier Seating. There are no assigned seats. Doors open at 6:30pm.
