"The Wejack is a one off boat designed by Royal Lowell and built in 1967 in Ipswich, MA by Phil Fessenden, an expert craftsman who was a well regarded local builder, as a purpose built blue fin tuna charter fishing yacht/boat, and started running the Wejack in Gloucester, MA, where she is docked today. The Wejack is 50' at the waterline (15.5' at the beam). WEJACK is the native American Algonquin word for Fisher (aka Fisher cat) and the name was also relayed by the previous owner to mean good fisher. The Wejack's design reigned in a new error of style and performance compared to the other fishing vessels of that era and struck the hearts of many area people that recount their stories of her. The Wejack is USCG inspected to 46 passengers and is available for all types of charters. The Wejack has a long history fishing in and around Gloucester and many of the area captains have either worked on her, alongside her, or fished on her. Many locals regard her as the most beautiful boat in the harbor for her unique, classic, and timeless lines. She's exotic mahogany planked, built on white oak frames, and well maintained.

BIO:
With a suitcase of songs, Maine folk troubadour Dan Blakeslee ventured into the smoke laden subways of Boston in 1995 to practice his craft. His songs of true life adventures combine the essence of early folk music with a dose of country grit. He has toured the U.S. and performed with Josh Ritter, Sean Rowe, David Wax Museum, Lydia Loveless, The Lumineers, Old 97's, The Black Lillies, Liam Finn and Kimya Dawson among others. In 2015 his dream of playing Newport Folk Festival became a reality, the location where Bob Dylan went electric 50 years earlier. Dan Blakeslee delivers his songs with that same heart of a young, lyric-scribbling troubadour, who knows because he’s tried it, can out-sing a passing train.
