Costumes & Candlelight After Dark at Hammond Castle Museum: Self-Guided Tours

Leave the little ones at home for a night out and experience Hammond Castle Museum after dark as it comes alive with the spirit of Halloween.  Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume to explore the hallowed halls of Hammond's castle, the very rooms where legends of the inventor’s ghost ships were born!   Plenty of candles cast haunting shadows and a mysterious fog fills the courtyard creating the perfect backdrop for your spookiest Halloween photos.

Whether you're searching for the ravens we’ve hidden, enjoying the candlelit ambiance, or simply reveling in the spooky Halloween spirit and taking your Halloween photos in the most majestic of spooky settings, our Costumes & Candlelight self-guided tours promise a hauntingly good time! Guests should plan at least 60 minutes to explore the grounds and galleries of this historic museum. Ideal for ages 13 and over.

This event is expected to sell out, parking is free but we encourage carpooling with friends or using a ride-share service. At nearly a century, the museum and castle grounds are not handicapped accessible. There are many stairs. We recommend arriving at 15 minutes early to allow enough time for the walk from the parking lot down to the museum, and then for the check-in process. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. If you miss the start of your timed session, you will not be admitted at another time. Please note: all ticket sales are final, refunds are not offered, and exchanges for other tour times are not permitted. Heavy traffic should be considered when planning your travel time.
