Old Sloop Coffeehouse is proud to present a concert featuring the bands Cold Chocolate and Cricket Tell the Weather Saturday, January 13, at 7:30 PM at the handicap-accessible First Congregational Church of Rockport, 12 School St.
Cold Chocolate is a fresh and exciting Americana band with a unique sound that fuses bluegrass and folk with a dash of funk. With original tunes and technical prowess, this trio from Boston mesmerizes audiences with guitar, upright bass, percussion, and three-part harmony. Cold Chocolate is led by guitarist and principal songwriter Ethan Robbins, and includes Kirsten Lamb on bass and Ariel Bernstein on percussion.
Cricket Tell the Weather is the creative project of Andrea Asprelli, award-winning songwriter and fiddler. Winners of the 2013 FreshGrass Award in North Adams, MA, Cricket features award-winning songs delivered with honest vocals and thoughtful arrangements with a modern edge. Cricket will perform as a quartet, featuring NYC musicians Doug Goldstein on banjo, Dave Speranza on bass, and Mike Robinson on guitar.
Coffee, tea, and a variety of delicious (and very popular) home-made baked pie and cake will be sold before and after the concert and at intermission.
