TAKING US TO FINE WINES FROM CHABLIS, NORTHERN RHONE, TO CRU BEAUJOLAIS, THE ORGANIC HILLS OF MONTALCINO IT, LANDING IN LUXURY IN NORTHEASTERN NAPA VALLEY…. A SINGULAR TASTING JOURNEY.
WHAT: Every Saturday guest host tasting offers multiple opportunities that begin with the introduction of wines that may be new to your palette coupled with a learning experience…asking “what to expect from a wine”, deepening enjoyment. Brooke is both a wine specialist and educator, welcoming conversation about the finer points of wines she knows all too well As always, the tasting is elevated using our imported Riedel stemware.
WHY: Saturday’s wines, beyond their sensory qualities are “text-book” in the variety of wine to food pairings they offer. Both Brooke and Kathleen have the ready-to-share-expertise elevating a wine’s contribution to every food occasion…snacks to hors’ d to restaurant choices …take advantage of this Saturday.

Saturday’s Pourings include:
Grand Regnard Chablis, Bourgogne, 2019, Varietal : Chardonnay, Alc. 12.5, A luxurious wine, one of the oldest, most prestigious houses in Chablis. Tasting: very lean and long in the mouth, defined flavors of white peach, green apple, lemon zest and chalky minerality. Pairs well: with luxurious dishes; lobster, Poulet de Bresse with truffles, or foie gras … just the sort of thing! Ratings: KM, simply classic and brilliant!
Maison L’Envoye, Ch. Vivier Monopole, Fleurie, Beaujolais, 2018, 13.0 Alc.,Varietal: 100% Gamay, Tasting: fresh and crisp on the palate, lively aromas and flavors of tart red fruit, chalk, minerality, velvety tannins, well-balanced natural acidity. Rating: wine.com 89 Pairs well: grilled cheeseburgers topped with minced shallots, dare we say “fried pickle”.
Les Launes, Crozes-Hermitage, Northern Rhone Valley, Delas, 2018 Alc. 14% Varietal: 100% Syrah, Alc. 14.0, Tasting: Black raspberries, sappy herbs, and Christmas spice notes, a seamless, elegant texture, and polished tannins. Pairs well: lamb, game (deer, venison), poultry, beef, Ratings: Jeb Dunnuck 91, specialist Southern Fr. grapes.
Allomi, The Hess Collection, Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 , Alc. 14.4%
Blends small amounts of Petite Sirah, Petite Verdot, Merlot and Malbec, Tasting: perfumed red fruit, herbal notes complements dense black cherry and blackberry core, bright acidity, full-bodied, smooth texture. Pair well: game, mature & hard cheese, lamb, cured meats Ratings: Wine Spectator 90, Wine Enthusiast 90, James Sucking 92
Argiano, Solengo, Rosso Toscano, 2017, 14.5 Alc. Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Sangiovese. Tasting: A beam of pure blackberry, black currant, earth flavors accented by vanilla and coconut, in new oak. Pairs well: juicy, grilled steak, lamb chops, Veal, cured meats, Ratings: Wine Spectator 93, James Suckling 95
