Description
Bring your blocks to the CAM Studio for Block Printing Open Studio sessions on Sunday afternoons. Attendees will have the opportunity to print their own designs on an original Folly Cove Designers press used by Mary Maletksos (1918-1993). The press was donated to the Museum by Montserrat College of Art for use in the CAM Studio.
CAM Staff will be on hand for questions and technical assistance, but no active instruction will be provided. Previous printmaking experience is required in either Introduction to Block Printing at the Cape Ann Museum or an equivalent course.
The Museum will provide Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks in primary colors, attendees must bring all other materials. Attendees are invited to bring additional inks, but they must also be Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks.
