North Shore Pride and Historic New England invite you to celebrate Pride Month at Beauport, the Sleeper-McCann House. Rare among historic house museums, Beauport tells the story of a gay man in the early twentieth century: celebrated interior designer Henry Davis Sleeper. Tour the house to learn about Sleeper’s family and friends, and hear readings from books and letters written by Sleeper and his social circle. Beer, wine, and snacks available on the terrace overlooking Gloucester Harbor. Entertainment by local musician, singer, and businessman John Archer. House tours will be offered every half hour throughout the day. Sponsored by Beauport Hotel, who will provide refreshments, and Plug-In Cape Ann Tours, who will provide shuttle transport from overflow parking lots at Saint Anthony’s Chapel and Rocky Neck Art Colony.
