This year the 5th Annual Paint Essex weekend is partnering with the entire Cape Ann Artist community: Paint Essex will be the final event in a week-long celebration of the 1st Annual Cape Ann Plein Air (CAPA). T.M. Nicholas will jury the auctioned pieces at Paint Essex that are sure to become valuable works of art in your collection. The auction includes hors d'oeuvres by The Essex Room and live music by Jay and Laurie Keefe. Artists of all levels are encouraged to participate in Paint Essex. This year there will be PRIZES for beginner, intermediate and professional. A portion of the proceeds from the Auction and ticket sales go toward our annual ART SCHOLARSHIP. A $1,000 scholarship will again be awarded to a Cape Ann high school student who will be pursuing a career in art. In addition to the scholarship fund, proceeds from the event will be utilized by the Essex Merchants Group to promote Essex as a destination for shopping, dining, recreation and appreciation of our his
