Part-time Weekend Visitor Services Associate
The Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is seeking a friendly, outgoing, and reliable individual to serve as a Part-Time Weekend Visitor Services Associate at our Visitor Center located on Gloucester's historic waterfront. As one of the first points of contact for visitors to Cape Ann, this position plays an important role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for guests exploring Gloucester, Rockport, Essex, Ipswich, and Manchester-by-the-Sea.
Schedule:
- Saturdays & Sundays, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Approximately 10 hours per week
Primary Responsibilities:
- Open and close the Visitor Center each weekend day
- Welcome visitors and provide information about local attractions, events, dining, shopping, lodging, and recreational opportunities throughout Greater Cape Ann
- Assist visitors with maps, brochures, directions, and trip planning recommendations
- Promote Chamber member businesses and community resources
- Answer visitor inquiries in person, by phone, and by email as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting Visitor Center environment
- Track visitor statistics and assist with basic administrative tasks
- Friendly, professional, and customer-service oriented
- Knowledge of Cape Ann and the surrounding region preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable engaging with visitors from a variety of backgrounds
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Basic computer and office skills
