Mile Marker One Restaurant is seeking an experienced, owner-minded General Manager to lead our year-round waterfront restaurant, bar, and seasonal dining experiences. This role is designed for a proven hospitality leader—not someone learning the position—who thrives in high-volume, dynamic environments and takes pride in operational excellence, guest experience, and team culture.

About the Restaurant

Mile Marker One is a year-round waterfront restaurant featuring:

  • A full-service interior dining room and inside bar, open all year

  • Seasonal outdoor decks, including a 200+ seat Bridge Deck in summer

  • A popular Sun Deck & bar introduced in 2025

  • A distinctive Igloo Dining Experience on the Bridge Deck in fall and winter

We are a family-owned business connected to a newly renovated 30-room hotel, with multiple private event spaces, live music programming, marina access, and signature seasonal events.

The Role

The General Manager is the operational leader of the business and is expected to manage the restaurant as if they were the owner, with autonomy and accountability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full oversight of daily restaurant and bar operations (year-round + seasonal)

  • Leadership, development, and accountability of management and service teams

  • Ownership of guest satisfaction, service standards, and brand reputation

  • Strong financial control of labor, food & beverage costs, and profitability

  • Oversight of private events, seasonal transitions, and peak-volume periods

  • Vendor relations, scheduling strategy, and operational planning

  • Hands-on presence during service and leadership by example

  • Collaboration with ownership while operating independently day-to-day
