DESCRIPTION:THIS SEMINAR IS SOLD OUT\n\n\n\nChamber Seminar on Paid Family and Medical Leave Law \n\nThe October 1 starting date for contributions to the new Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program is rapidly approaching\, and all employers need to be prepared. To help explain the new law and answer employer questions\, the Chamber is hosting a free seminar on Wednesday\, September 11. The seminar will be led by Laurie LaBrie of Integrated HR and will take place at Endicott College's Gloucester Campus located at 33 Commercial Street\, from 8 to 9 AM.\n\nThe Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML) has provided additional information and guidance for employers on their website. A comprehensive guide to Paid Family and Medical Leave for Massachusetts employers is available here. Final regulations are posted on the DFML website here.\n\nMandatory Workplace Poster\n\nAll Massachusetts employers are required to display a Paid Family and Medical Leave mandatory workplace poster prepared or approved by the Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML) that explains the benefits available to their workforce under the PFML law. Employers must post this poster at the workplace in a location where it can be easily read by employees.\n\nPlease note that while all employers must begin withholding for the Paid Family and Medical Leave law beginning October 1\, those with fewer than 25 employees as defined in the law will not be required to contribute any portion.
