DESCRIPTION:This Friday\, Saturday & Sunday\, July 10\, 11 & 12\, Magnolia's longest running Art Show will again be held here at the MLCC at 1 Lexington Ave in the Magnolia section of Gloucester. The show has been running for decades (38 years) and is a very popular event in Magnolia. Stop by (admission is free!) and enjoy beautiful framed art\, photography and mixed media/sculptures and hundreds more smaller\, unframed pieces at the show. All pieces are also for sale. Most artists are from Cape Ann\, and several have been a part of the show for many years. The show is judged by 3 local experienced artists (this year\, judges are Joan Benotti\, Rick Gates & Ann Mechem Ziergiebel) with cash prizes are awarded in each artistic category as well as a people's choice award\, chosen by ballot by those who attends the show. All art show staff\, as well as all Community Center board members\, are volunteers so all proceeds directly benefit the citizens of Magnolia/Gloucester and the surrounding Cape Ann. This is a great opportunity for family\, friends & neighbors to get together and support both local artists and your local Community Center. Make a day or evening of it. Enjoy the show and have dinner in the area or walk the beach.
