SUMMARY:LINDSAY HALL - Special Showing and Meet the Artist Reception
DESCRIPTION:Lindsay Hall is a versatile talent. She pushes her skills as an artist by varying subject matter\, material and technique. She has a penchant for living subjects. Much of her work draws inspiration from life on earth: plants\; animals\; and people.\n\n \n\nThe ten pieces featured at Red Tractor Trading Company are from an ongoing series\, Animal Farm. The series began in 2017 and has continued to evolve over time. Most of the works on display have been completed in the past few months. The subject matter of farm animals was chosen to explore the beauty of animals commonly viewed as a source of labor and/or food. One of the most crucial parts of this series is the use of eye contact between the animals and the viewer. This focus creates a direct confrontation that prompts the question "who is looking at who?"\n\n \n\nLindsay received her BA in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018. She has since relocated back to the North Shore and resides in Boxford\, Massachusetts.
