SUMMARY:Heavy Metal Horns
DESCRIPTION:07/06/24\n\n7:00pm doors / 8:00pm show. 21+\, Positive I.D. Required\n\n\n\nAs described by Steve Morse in the Boston Globe\, "They stress a taut\, turn-on-a-dime sound that's fast making them Boston's answer to the Bay Area's Tower of Power\, though with an even wider multi-cultural scope." Their 11-piece ensemble will bring a signature sound of bluesy jazz\, soul and funk to The Cut for a special performance that brings band members together from far and wide. \n\n\n\nThis heavily anticipated event reunites a highly acclaimed band -- once named as Boston Magazine's Best New Band\, Boston Phoenix/WFNX for Best R&B/Soul/Blues Act\, and winning two Boston Music Awards: Outstanding Club Band and Outstanding Funk Act. The Horns also received a sponsorship from Budweiser's "In Concert" program.\n\n\n\nThe "Horns" reached world-wide fame on Extreme's 1992-93 "Stop The World" tour which took them throughout the United States and Canada\, to Europe\, Japan\, and Australia. Tour highlights included multiple sold-out shows at London's Wembley Arena and Tokyo's Budokan. In London\, the Horns performed with guitarist Brian May of Queen. The Heavy Metal Horns have also been featured at multiple festivals including Montreal Jazz Festival\, Newport Jazz Festival and in Seattle\, Portland\, and San Jose. In total\, they've released five albums.
