Shortly after moving to town\, he joined the Essex Fire Department as an EMT/Firefighter. More recently\, he was also elected to the Essex Board of Health and continues to serve the town in both roles to this day.\n\nPeter began his career in 1989 as an EMT in Boston\, quickly rising into leadership roles within private EMS. Over three decades\, he held senior positions including Vice President of Sales and Chief Operating Officer at EasCare EMS\, and served on the Massachusetts Ambulance Association Board of Directors from 2008 to 2018.\n\nHis passion for animals is equally strong. A lifelong dog lover\, Peter co-founded Sweet Paws Rescue in 2011\, helping connect rescue dogs with loving homes. In 2017\, he opened BarnDog Day Camp\, a trusted and welcoming environment where dogs are cared for with patience\, kindness\, and fun. Customers often describe it as "like leaving your dog with family\," and it remains one of the North Shore's premier dog care facilities.\n\nIn his spare time\, he performs locally as frontman of the band\, Essex Junction.
