SUMMARY:Cape Ann Kids' Free Day
DESCRIPTION:Kids Rule The Day! \n\nHear ye\, hear ye! Cape Ann children will be treated like royalty as we lower the drawbridge and roll out the red carpet at Hammond Castle Museum on April 22! It has been decreed that on this day\, the children of Essex\, Gloucester\, Magnolia\, Manchester\, and Rockport shall enjoy a free visit to their community Museum. Let their imaginations awaken as they visit a towering medieval castle filled with antiquities\, explore the oceanside lawn and grounds under the shadow of the flying buttresses\, and glimpse the spirit and vision of one of the nation's most prolific inventors.\n\nIt is in the spirit of John Hays Hammond\, Jr's. vision of his home and laboratory as a legacy to inspire the children of Cape Ann for generations to come that we present our first annual Cape Ann Kid's Free Day! Guests will have access to the Great Hall\, Dining Room\, Library\, War Room\, and the Kitchen. Some sections of Hammond Castle Museum will be closed to the public as the Museum is still engaged in a historic restoration of the original glass ceiling over the Courtyard. Elementary and middle school aged children living on Cape Ann will be welcomed at no charge. Adults tickets are $10 each. Advance ticket reservations for children and for adults are required. Proof of residency is required.
